About

Research, technology, and execution—brought together.

semiAIfoundryTM is a founder-led research and technology development platform applying advanced AI to frontier scientific and technological challenges.

Why we exist

Important scientific and technological ideas often fail to cross the distance from possibility to useful outcome. Progress can stall when expertise is scarce, tools and institutions are fragmented, evidence is disconnected, and paths to adoption are unclear.

semiAIfoundryTM brings frontier research, technology development, and execution into one platform. We use advanced AI to extend expert capability, accelerate rigorous discovery, and carry promising work toward outcomes that can be tested, trusted, and applied.

Founder & CEO

Fitih “Fitz” Cinnor, Ph.D, MBA

Dr. Fitz Cinnor has spent more than two decades working at the point where scientific possibility must become manufacturable, scalable, and economically valuable. His career spans both sides of the semiconductor value chain: fab-side technology development at Intel, leading advanced process and equipment platforms from research into high-volume manufacturing, and supplier-side portfolio leadership at 3M across global P&L, growth strategy, operating performance, and ecosystem partnerships.

His technical record includes more than 40 journal publications, presentations at leading conferences, and patents and intellectual property in advanced technologies; his current research interests include applying advanced AI tools to frontier scientific and technological challenges.

That experience revealed a challenge more complex than a simple shortage of technology. Technical capability and operating capacity are distributed unevenly across institutions, ecosystems, and borders. Even where deep expertise exists, fragmented workflows, incompatible systems, limited interoperability, lost context at handoffs, uneven infrastructure, and institutional constraints can prevent capability from becoming a reliable outcome.

Advances in AI and agentic orchestration create a new opportunity to reduce these barriers—not by assuming expertise is universally available or replacing domain professionals, but by extending scarce capability, connecting fragmented work, coordinating decisions and handoffs, and carrying context, evidence, and accountability across organizational boundaries. That opportunity became the founding thesis behind semiAIfoundryTM.

semiAIfoundryTM was created as a research and technology development platform. We pursue frontier questions, develop domain-specific technologies, and build execution systems around the standards, evidence requirements, and acceptance conditions that determine whether work becomes useful in the real world.

Dr. Cinnor holds a Ph.D. in Materials Science & Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and an MBA from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota.

How we work

Domain depth, rigorous inquiry, disciplined execution.

01 / Start with the challenge

We begin with a consequential scientific, technological, or operational question—not a generic AI use case.

02 / Make evidence operational

Methods, context, standards, and decision history stay connected so claims can be challenged and trusted.

03 / Extend expert capacity

Advanced AI carries rigorous inquiry farther while accountability remains with people and institutions.

04 / Design for impact

Validation, integration, and the path to real-world use shape the work from the beginning.
